Welcome to December, the busiest time of the year for any hairdresser, and it seems Covid has not deterred people from wanting them to look their best for the Holidays. Now knowing as of December 26th we will be in lockdown, and as being considered non-essential we will be closed. December 23rd will be our last day open at the salon until lockdown is over. Below are the most common questions we have received from patrons :
I have an appointment booked during lockdown, how will my appointment be rescheduled?
When we are allowed to reopen we will call you to reschedule as per sequence appointment booked. It is important to have your phone nearby, if we can not get a hold of you we will leave you a message. We will not hold any spots, it will be a first come first serve plan of action after we have made all our calls in order. We appreciate your patience during this time.
I don’t have an appointment but how do I make one when lockdown is over?
You can call the salon at 519-265-3859, leave your name and number on our voicemail. You will be put on a call back list. After all courtesy calls have been made to prescheduled appointments, we will then go to our waitlist to schedule new appointments.
Can I purchase a colour kit from Malkim to do my hair at home?
No, we handle chemicals and professional coloring this is a liability risk. We ask for clients to be patient during lockdown and wait for their new scheduled appointment when lockdown is over. If you choose to do your hair at home, and depending on the results this may become a colour correction at your next appointment.
Can you come to my house?
We take the safety of our clients and our staff very seriously. How much we would love to see you on those lonely lockdown days of Covid, we will not do home visits. We want to do our part to help flatten the curve.
